Histopathology Platform - Junior Digital Pathology ScientistThe selected candidate willWork closely with senior experimental pathologists and laboratory staff to support a variety of research projects in the field of digital pathology. Responsibilities will include:
Prepare, scan, and conduct digital image analysis and interpretation of pathological specimens from rodents, zebrafish, and humans, using a variety of software and tools.Manage and organize digital pathology data and records.Assist in the development and optimisation of digital pathology workflows applied to preclinical research.Maintain accurate records and documentation of experimental procedures and results.Communicate findings to team members and participate in team meetings.Contribute to the development and optimisation of new techniques and protocols.Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues as they arise.RequirementsResearch FieldBiological sciences

Skills/QualificationsMSc in Veterinary Medicine or related field
Essential skillsStrong knowledge of animal histology and pathology.Prior experience working in a laboratory or research setting, preferably in the field of pathology, involving animal studies.Experience with digital image analysis and interpretation.Proficiency in computer skills, including data management and analysis.Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Excellent level of English.Competitive remuneration package commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.

Eligibility criteriaNational, Foreign or Stateless candidate(s) who hold a MSc in Veterinary Medicine and a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals a profile appropriate to the activity to be developed.
Selection processCandidates will be screened to determine eligibility based on minimum qualifications listed in the call. Candidates meeting minimum requirements will be scored according to the required application materials: CV 80% weighting, motivation letter 10%, interview 10% (in case of a tie). If provided, and if shortlisted, candidates' referees may be contacted and may count towards evaluation.

Notification of resultsAll candidates will receive a receipt of acknowledgment within 7-10 business days. The highest scoring candidate will be notified by email or telephone. All other candidates will be notified solely by email of the final outcome of the recruitment process.
After being notified, candidates will have 10 working days to present a claim for redress by email (******). If no claim is received by the Champalimaud Foundation, the Evaluation Committee's decision will become definitive.
