The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of the Health, Safety, Environment and Facility Management team. In this pivotal role, they will be instrumental in guaranteeing compliance with local and international regulations and fostering a safety-centric culture within our organization, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of Ovar Plant infrastructure and real estate.
Your contribution to something big:
Provide technical guidance and support to the team, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive operational excellence.
Management of certified Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, supporting the implementation of the strategy and operational activities related to both.
Ensure that all activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Offer expert advice to management and employees, collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe work environment, and deliver training programs to enhance HSE awareness and procedures.
Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans, conduct drills to evaluate effectiveness, and actively participate in HSE committees, engaging with regulatory agencies as necessary.
Oversee the planning, design, and construction of new facilities and the expansion/refurbishment of existing infrastructure.
Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure maximum availability and performance of utilities and infrastructure systems.
Develop and manage budgets for facility projects and maintenance operations, optimizing resources and reducing costs where possible.
What distinguishes you:
A degree in Environment, Electrotechnic, Civil, Mechanical, or Electromechanical engineering.
5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Knowledge of technical guidelines, standards, and laws.
CAP TSST level 6.
Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing teams of engineers and technicians.
Experience in project and budget management.
Responsible and conscientious personality and working method.
Strong customer and service orientation as well as good communication skills.
Good time management and coordination skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
