That is why we are In it for life.You will be responsible to:Implement HSE policies, procedures and guidelines in the areas of expertise as requested; Develop, implement,and monitor comprehensive fire safety protocols. Conduct regular fire risk assessments and audits; Lead risk assessments and hazard identification processes, particularly for chemical and fire-related risks; Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions; Design and deliver HSE training programs, with a focus on fire safety and emergency response; Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture, reduce incidents, and ensure a safe working environment; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety inspections, audits, and incident reports; Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to integrate HSE best practices into all processes.We are looking to recruit a Candidate:University qualification in a HSE discipline, in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety or similar scientific field; Certification as anOccupational Safety and Health (OSH) Technician at Cap Level VI or above; Strong expertise infire safety management, including risk assessments, prevention strategies, and emergency response; Experience in HSE roles within the chemical or pharmaceutical industries; In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries; Ability to identifyand mitigate risks proactively, with a strong focus on analytical and problem-solving abilities; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in Portuguese and in English, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels; Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.Hovione is a proud Equal Opportunity EmployerInclusion and diversity are key to us.
