No Offer Description NOTICE OF OPENING OF AN INTERNATIONAL SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF AN ASSISTANT RESEARCHER POSITION By order of 13-09-2024, the Dean of FEUP, Professor Rui Artur Bártolo Calçada, deliberated to open an international selection procedure for the recruitment of one Assistant Researcher within the scope of Project EU-DREAM - Effective Uptake of Digital Services to Repower European Consumers and Communities as Active Participants in Energy Transition and Markets, with the Grant Agreement no. 101160614, funded by the European Commission in the scope of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, for the practice of R&D activities within the scope of Industrial Engineering and Management, in the form of an Individual Uncertain Term Employment Contract, and will be maintained only for the period necessary to execute the tasks defined in the project and identified below, whose expected duration is 24 months, never exceeding the maximum limit of four years. The purpose of this contract is the performance of activities corresponding to the category of Research Assistant, as stated in Article 8 of the Regulations for Research, Science and Technology Staff of the University of Porto. The Assistant Researcher executes, develops and participates in research and development projects, under the guidance of a researcher or higher education professor. The Assistant Researcher will integrate the Project EU-DREAM, executing, developing and participating in the activities of investigation, according to the guidelines of the work plan of the project. Specifically, it will contribute to the following project activities: energy management systems, modeling and computational simulation, decision support systems, renewable resources and electric vehicles integration. The recruited researcher can, eventually, collaborate in teaching and formation activities in the area of research. Minimum Requirements 1. The scientific area of this selection procedure is Industrial Engineering and Management. 2. General Admission Requirements: This competition is open to national candidates, foreigners and stateless persons holding a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, or Energy Engineering and Management, or Strategic Management, or in related areas. Any master awarded by a foreign higher education institution must be recognized by a Portuguese higher education institution. 3
