.FCUP | CALL FOR RECRUITMENT OF ONE PHD RESEARCHER | Plant Molecular Biology Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto – Porto, Distrito do Porto NOTICE OF THE OPENING OF AN INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR RECRUITMENT OF ONE PHD RESEARCHER Ana Cristina Moreira Freire, Full Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, hereby advertises the opening for 10 working days of an international call for recruitment on one PhD researcher, within the Project PL24-00035 PrOryza, financed by Promove by "La Caixa" Foundation program, in collaboration with BPI and with the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). 1. Main research field: Plant Molecular Biology 1.1. Sub research field: Sexual Plant Reproduction 2. Admission requirement: Application can be submitted by any nationals, foreigners and stateless people who meet the following conditions cumulatively: hold a PhD degree in the above-mentioned scientific area, and hold a scientific and professional curriculum appropriate to the activities to be developed. If the candidate holds a doctorate awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions established in the Decree-Law no. 66/2018. All the formalities established in the Decree-Law must be met until the hiring. The non-compliance with these requirements determines the preliminary rejection of the application. Specific requirements: Proven experience in plant molecular biology and plant genomics; Consolidated experiencein molecular and bioimaging techniques in the plant biology field. Evidenced skills in the analysis of plant reproductive phenotypes are desirable. Demonstrated ability to write scientific articles. Applicants with proven international experience, a certain degree of scientific independence and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams will also be valued. Experience in the management of research projects. Excellence in both written and spoken English language. Experience with projects international consortia is required. The researcher must carry out the work plan defined within the scope of the R&D Project 'PrOryza, Desenvolvimento de arroz luso termotolerante - análise genética e reprodutiva'. More specifically, the researcher will contribute to completion of important project tasks related to the analysis of reproductive phenotypes in rice plants grown under heat stress and control conditions, as well as the determination of heat stress tolerance molecular marker genes expression in several rice varieties
