Energy Assessment and Metocean Specialist - Offshore Wind (Portugal)
What you will do
Provide technical direction in wind resource, yield and metocean during all stages of offshore wind projects, from greenfield to operations.
Manage and mentor the energy yield and metocean team, develop strategy and share experience and priorities relative to wind resource and metocean assessment.
Define and execute wind and metocean roadmaps with respect to industry standards.
Provide internal and external energy yield assessment adjusted to offshore bottom fixed and floating wind projects, including measurements campaign analysis, long-term analysis, horizontal/vertical wind modeling, wake analysis, specific classes, and uncertainty analysis.
Provide technical support in offshore wind yield due diligence analysis for both bottom fixed and floating wind projects.
Specify, tender and manage offshore survey works: RFQ preparation, tender evaluation, technical/commercial analysis, contract negotiation, project follow-up, etc.
Prepare and monitor wind and metocean campaigns: technical specifications, preparation, data measurements analysis.
Create and perform layout optimization concerning the project's constraints.
Provide necessary wind and metocean statistical inputs necessary for the design, certification, operation, and maintenance of offshore wind structures for both bottom fixed and floating offshore wind projects.
Improve existing methodologies and industry standards related to wind, yield, and metocean topics.
Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and partners.
Contribute to project scheduling/budgeting and risk management.
What you bring
Master's degree in meteorology or relevant engineering field.
Minimum of 5 years of operational experience in offshore wind yield assessment.
Relevant expertise in offshore wind data analysis, modeling, layout optimization, and energy yield assessment.
Experience in wind industry software such as WindPRO, OpenWind, Windographer, and similar.
Experience in wind and metocean measurement campaigns.
Programming experience is an advantage.
Experience working in a multicultural environment, in a consortium or joint venture, in remote working conditions is a must.
