To support this journey, we are actively seeking an Embedded Systems Research Scientist to join our team.WHO?VORTEX-CoLab is looking for exceptional Embedded Systems Research Scientists with a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar (Embedded Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics) and that gathers the following requirements:Embedded software development in Rust or C/C++ (4+ years);Embedded hardware development using high level synthesis tools (SmartHLS, Vivado or Libero) and familiarity with FPGAs (e.g. Polarfire or Kintex);Knowledge of the RISC-V ecosystem, including experience with open IP cores and blocks or bare-metal software;Open to participating in RISC-V working groups and contributing to open-source projects;Knowledge of the latest embedded and real-time systems technology trends;Scientific publications in refereed conferences or journals.WHAT?As an Embedded Systems Research Scientist at Vortex-CoLab, you will work with a cross-functional team of other researchers and engineers to support R&D projects related to embedded and real-time systems, including embedded microservices, virtualization and orchestration.
