Right now, we are looking for a Database Administrator to integrate our internal team, based in Lisbon.
Your responsibilities include :
Database Migration: Perform database migration to new versions of SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and minimizing downtime;
Problem Analysis: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to database performance, availability, and integrity.
Performance Optimization (Tuning): Implement performance optimization techniques, including analyzing SQL queries, tuning indexes, and configuring the environment to maximize performance;
Good knowledge in Transact-SQL (T-SQL): To review and optimize queries and stored procedures, Function using T-SQL to respond to internal needs;
Always On Cluster Configuration and Management: Configure and manage high availability and critical environments using SQL Server's Always On functionality, ensuring redundancy and disaster recovery;
Proactive Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform continuous monitoring of the SQL Server environment, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they affect customers' systems;
Documentation: Document processes, configurations and changes made in the Database environment, ensuring identification and easy interpretation by other team members;
Team Collaboration: Work together with the other team members in a collaborative way, ensuring that Database needs are answered efficiently and securely;
Experience in migration of Integration Services Packages and Reporting Services Reports: Perform migrations of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reports, ensuring continuity of ETL processes and respective reports, ensuring compatibility and performance in new environments.
Main requirements
You must have :
Proven experience in SQL Server technologies (5 years of experience): Solid experience in the administration of SQL Server databases, including recent versions and new features;
Knowledge in Data Migration: Proven experience in migrating databases to new versions of SQL Server, with emphasis on planning, execution and validation;
Tuning and Performance Skills: Experience in performance tuning, including analysis and optimization of queries, indexes and infrastructure;
Proficiency in T-SQL: Strong knowledge and experience in writing and optimizing complex queries using Transact-SQL;
Experience with Always On: Experience in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting high availability environments with Always On;
Problem Solving: Analytical ability to diagnose complex database problems and propose effective solutions;
Proactivity: Ability to identify and anticipate problems and opportunities for improvement, taking initiative to solve them independently;
SQL Server Certifications (Required): DP-300 and DP-900;
Knowledge of Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and management tools for DB's, Tuning Adviser, Query Store, Profiler, and third-party tools.
