Job Summary Keyrus is looking for a Data Ops Engineer. The ideal candidate embodies technical prowess in IaC and Cloud data platform development, coupled with a fervent commitment to making every piece of data matter. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, test, deploy and maintain our data platform infrastructure in the cloud using IaC techniques and ensuring principles like scalability, security, and collaborativeness. Design, build, and support tools and techniques that mature DataOps & DevOps practices: Maintain different environments: dev, test, production. Manage version control and deployment pipelines. Promote reusable, parameterized code and extend automated data validations. Establish DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps culture, tools, and processes. Manage alerting and monitoring of data pipelines and infrastructure as well as the governance of the whole data engineering operation. Create alignment across IT Ops, Data Engineering and Data Architects in Data Governance teams. Stay up to date on changes to the cloud services and products and anticipate changes needed to our architecture and processes. Establish strong partnerships with analytics and operations stakeholders; communicates effectively about technology competencies and applicability to business strategies. Use agile software development processes to iteratively make improvements in our infrastructure. Requirements for the role Expertise in data engineering, software engineering, and/or IT operations/DevOps/DataOps. Previous experience in architecting, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise data solutions and applications in a cloud platform. Technical: Strong Python knowledge. Experience in cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, Snowflake). Deep knowledge in hybrid and cloud architectures: Helm / K8s / Docker. Knowledge on infrastructure as code techs and tools: Terraform. Experience in the following technologies: Apache Beam / Spark / Streaming Systems, Git, Gitlab CI/CD. What you bring to the team: Analytical mindset, process focused and structured. Team player with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively. Driven, with a proactive mindset. Other languages like French or Spanish are a nice to have. Fluent in English. Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal.
