Your New Role
As a Data Project Manager, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of data platform initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritise requirements, manage the product backlog, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Your role will involve conducting market research, analysing industry trends, and gathering customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovations. You will also develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation and monitor product performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather and prioritise requirements.
Manage the product backlog, prioritise features, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to identify opportunities for product enhancements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation.
Monitor product performance and gather usage metrics for continuous improvement.
Represent the product internally and externally, advocating for its adoption.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, ideally with a focus on data platforms.
Comprehensive understanding of data management concepts, including data modelling, data integration, data governance, and data quality.
Familiarity with modern data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms.
Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and user stories.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Experience in the financial industry or a similar business domain.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake).
Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance regulations.
