It is also essential to clarify the value of data and manage the associated risks through effective communication. Data policies, standards and guidelines must be defined and enforced to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and data governance roles such as Data Owners, Data Administrators and Data Custodians must be established and supervised. Supporting forums related to Data Governance is also essential, as is promoting data quality improvement and risk management.
