ABOUT THE JOB OPENING
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DATA ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR TEAM
This role is responsible for building and maintaining our cloud-based data processing systems, with a primary focus on data transformation using DBT (Data Build Tool). The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL or Python, as well as hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This position will play a key role in transforming data workflows to enhance accessibility, scalability, and efficiency across the organization.
YOU WILL
Design, implement, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support our analytics and data science needs.
Leverage DBT as a coding framework to manage data transformations within the data warehouse. Write efficient SQL or Python code to transform and cleanse data in alignment with business requirements.
Work closely with other data engineers to develop and maintain robust, reliable data solutions. Contribute to the design and architecture of data systems that ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance.
Deploy and manage data infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), utilizing cloud-native services and tools to streamline data workflows.
Apply a solid understanding of ELT principles to build efficient, optimized data processing pipelines. Focus on transformation aspects, ensuring data is processed to meet end-user requirements.
Monitor and optimize data processes to improve system performance and ensure high-quality data output. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to maintain the reliability of data infrastructure.
YOU HAVE
At least 3 years of experience as a data engineer
Experience in a data engineering role, with knowledge in a cloud-based data platform project involving Snowflake.
Experience with DBT Framework: Proficient in using DBT for data transformation in cloud-based environments, with a strong understanding of DBT modeling, testing, and version control best practices.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience in using Python for data manipulation and transformation.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with relevant cloud services for data engineering (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, etc.).
Strong understanding of ELT principles and experience with transformation processes within a modern data stack.
Demonstrated experience working in collaborative team environments, contributing to shared data engineering projects, and participating in code reviews and design discussions.
