Job Summary Keyrus is looking for a motivated and creative Data Engineer to help centralize and consolidate our data lake, ensuring data quality. The ideal candidate has expertise in data ingestion and ETL processes, coupled with a fervent commitment to making every piece of data matter. We value individuals who are detail-oriented, independent contributors with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring that together, we continue to transform possibilities into reality. You will be part of an Agile squad, working with technical experts to ensure the correct implementation of the solution architecture.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems to solve business needs.Analyze business requirements to propose relevant technical solutions.Design data models and define optimized tables/views in BigQuery and SQL queries to improve performance or reduce costs.Actively contribute to solution architecture by proposing new design patterns, technologies, and improvements to existing applications or developing new ones.Explore integration of generative AI features to improve user experience.Ensure data security in all layers of the applications.Collaborate with squad members to define and evolve development best practices, including source code control, re-usability, and coding standards.Take ownership of full implementation, ensuring quality of code, unit tests, integration tests, reliability engineering (monitoring & alerting), and performance of solutions.Requirements for the role Advanced degree in engineering or a technical/scientific field of study.Strong competency in data manipulation: SQL and Python are a must!Talend is a plus, and Node.js is nice to have.Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery and Cloud Functions.Experience or willingness to learn Azure.Experience with unit testing/TDD.Experience using CI/CD pipelines as part of development.Adaptability and curiosity.Results-oriented mindset and empowerment.Team spirit, able to build relationships and contribute to collective accountability.Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms.Fluent in English.Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal.What we offer at Keyrus Portugal: Competitive salary based on your skills & experience and according to the Data market practice.Meal allowance of €8.32 per day.Flexible benefits option.Private Medical Insurance.22 days of annual leave (increasing every 3 years up to a maximum of 25 days).Training Program through KLX (Keyrus Learning Experience) Platform.Why Keyrus?
