Job Description We are recruiting an ETL developer to work with IBM Datastage PX and SQL .
In this role the candidate must be able to set up the environment before development, perform, document and record the necessary tests to provide acceptance evidences to the client.
Main Responsibilities: • Participate in an ETL development cycle (Analysis, development, testing and deployment), mainly in IBM Datastage PX and SQL.
• Ensure unit-testing, integration testing, automatic testing, mainly with Octane, quality center or other similar tools.
• Ensure the application of the good technological and methodological practices recommended by CIB 2S.
• Identify innovative ideas and proof of concepts according to project requirements.
• Ensure maintenance and level 3 support of the application portfolio.
• Acquire functional and/or technical expertise on the key elements of the application and/or technological portfolio.
• Challenge business and/or technical requirements.
• Contribute on technical solution definition.
• Develop and customize enablers components Datastage components.
• Monitor performance and rectifying related issues.
• Deliver projects with quality.
Qualifications Technical skills: • IBM Datastage PX and/or other similar ETL tools.
• SQL development skills (Oracle is the DB used).
• PL/SQL development skills.
• Experience with GIT and Jenkins.
• Experience with Shell scripting, Unix/Linux.
• Experience in documenting bug reports, tickets, and code changes.
• Technical analysis and documentation.
• English (read, spoken, written - C level minimum).
Nice to have: • Experience with REST APIs and Service/events oriented architecture.
• Working with DevOps tools : Jenkins; git ; ansible.
• Experience in Agile context (like Kanban, Lean or SCRUM) Soft skills: • Autonomous, organized and delivery-focused with attention to detail.
• Proactive taking own initiative to mitigate risk, and prevent issues arising.
• Great communication skills while being capable of negotiating with sponsors and reaching to an agreement.
