For our Global Data & Analytics Hub, we are currently looking for a D&A Solutions Product Group Owner, Operations.
We operate within a product-based framework, prioritizing collaboration, innovation, and most importantly, delivery of value to our customers through impactful data products. As the Product Group Owner, Operations, you will be leading the delivery of data and analytics solutions, products, and capabilities for the Operations function, covering Global Technical Operations including central and affiliate (factory) needs, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Development and Ops Sustainability teams. The accountability of this position entails overseeing a team of product owners, setting the strategic and operational direction for Operations data solutions, engaging with senior leaders and heads of functions, and ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives. You will work closely with the strategy and delivery organizations to define and track metrics, talent development, and delivery of value via Operations data products. Being a peer to the advanced analytics and business intelligence capability managers, you will collaborate closely with them to guide resource allocation for data products and maximize value generation.
You will:
Lead and supervise a team of product owners responsible for delivering data and analytics solutions for the Operations domain, Global Technical Operations including central and affiliate (factory) needs, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Development and Ops Sustainability teams.
Collaborate with global and affiliate (plant operations) teams to identify business needs and opportunities for data and analytics solution development in line with company's vision.
Define the strategic direction for Operations data and analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with other product portfolios and organizational goals.
Keep abreast of market need and consumer trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices for data and analytics solutions.
Oversee the entire data and analytics solution lifecycle, from concept to deployment, and ensure that solutions are developed and delivered efficiently.
Monitor the performance and quality of data and analytics solutions and continuously trigger enhancements with D&A core product and technology teams for continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members and the wider community, including talent identification, performance management, and career planning.
We're looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science).
Deep understanding of PMI's Operations business, ideally with experience in an Operations sub-function (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc) role.
8+ years of track record in delivering technology and data solutions.
At least 3-5 years of experience in product management or related roles, preferably in data driven environments.
Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams to achieve their full potential.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different disciplines and levels of the organization.
Experience working with product owners and guiding resources within a product-based operating model.
Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset and the ability to guide data-driven decisions with insight and foresight.
Familiarity with data product development process – data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, MS Power BI).
