Your New Role As a Consultant for SAP Procurement and Inventory, you will be the primary point of contact for business support.
Your responsibilities will include creating, optimising, and enhancing interfaces, as well as resolving any issues that arise.
You will work closely with stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions for connecting IT systems, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with IT colleagues to find effective solutions.
Responsibilities Resolve incidents and problems with live units using S/4HANA within the scope of SAP Services.Manage service and change requests.Ensure the continuity and improvement of business processes.Work on larger, moderately complex projects and assignments.Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers, consultants, and architects to meet requirements.Deliver functional solutions for SAP projects.Track and manage assigned tickets to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.Provide dedicated business support during critical periods such as month-end closing and key business activities like shipping and manufacturing.Design, configure, test, and train business solutions in collaboration with the solution/architect team.Participate in hyper-care and transition location support from the project team.Provide application maintenance and 2nd and 3rd level production support services globally, according to agreed SLAs.Propose and initiate proactive system improvements.Offer preventive business process support.Translate business requirements into feasible solutions in collaboration with business support departments.Maintain close working relationships with technical, solution delivery, architect, analytics, basis, and authorisation teams.Adhere to transport and release management processes.Continuously propose business and process-related improvements.Maintain process documentation for problem, incident, and change management.Follow best practices for support.Perform daily tasks in the global ticketing system.Occasionally travel internationally based on business needs. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within SAP (ECC6 / S4HANA) with hands-on application management or project organisation.Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.IT/Business Degree or equivalent.SAP certification is preferred.In-depth understanding of business processes related to SAP applications.Expert SAP knowledge with configuration and troubleshooting skills.Fluency in English (verbal and written).Experience with remote/dotted line management of staff in multiple countries.Team player.SAP implementation and post-live support experience in a multinational environment.Knowledge of basic change management procedures within IT (ITIL).Customer-oriented approach, striving to understand business needs and provide appropriate solutions.Ability to manage outsourced application services.
