Offer Description A call for application is now open for the attribution of 1 (one) Research Grant in Programming Unity Applications and its interconnection with IoT platforms, under the scheme "Agendas Mobilizadoras para a Inovação Empresarial", namely "DRIVOLUTION – Transition to the factory of the future", funded by the "PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan and by the NextGenerationEU", through the scheme "Agendas para a Inovação Empresarial", with the following conditions:
Scientific area: Informatics.
Objectives: Creation of Unity software interconnected with an IIoT platform, capable of mapping and managing information;
Preparation of scientific dissemination documents based on the work carried out.
Work plan: Programming applications using the Unity platform;
Creating communication interfaces between applications produced in Unity and IIoT applications;
Preparation of scientific dissemination documents based on the work carried out.
Local of work: School of Communication, Administration and Tourism of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança.
The scholarship will initially last for 6 months, starting on 25/11/2024 (with the possibility of renewal for up to a maximum of 18 months, including the initial period).
Applications may be formalized through the IPB application submission portal (http://concursos.ipb.pt), with the inclusion of the following documents:
Minimum Requirements: The candidate must be enrolled in the master's course in the area of Information Technology (main area CNAEF: 481);
The candidate must have a degree in the area of IT, CNAEF 481.
Specific Requirements: The candidate must have skills in:
Solid knowledge of C# and Python programming languages;
Programming applications based on Game Engines (e.g., Unity Engine);
Knowledge of web frameworks for building Web APIs (e.g., FastAPI) and knowledge of client-server communication technologies (e.g., HTTP Requests, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events);
Languages: PORTUGUESE: Good
ENGLISH: Good
Additional Information: The scholarship amount corresponds to €990,98, according to the table of scholarships awarded by the FCT, I.P. in the country.
The scholarship holder will benefit from personal accident insurance and, if not covered by any social protection scheme, can ensure the exercise of the right to social security by joining the voluntary social insurance scheme, pursuant to the Code of Contribution Regimes of the Social Security System. The scholarship amount will be paid monthly by bank transfer.
Eligibility criteria: The candidate must be enrolled in the master's course in the area of Information Technology (main area CNAEF: 481) and must have a degree in the area of IT, CNAEF 481.
Selection process: The selection methods to be used will be the following:
Curriculum assessment and its suitability for the work in question (80%);
Experience in producing documents of a technical-scientific nature (20%);
According to these criteria, the three candidates with the best classification may be called for a face-to-face interview, and their classification will be weighted in item a) with a valuation of 40%.
The jury may not award the scholarship if the candidates' classification is lower than 9.5.
If the decision to be taken is unfavorable to the granting of the requested scholarship, the candidates have a period of 10 working days, after the date of publication of the evaluation results, to express their opinion, if desired, in a prior hearing, under the terms provided for in the Code of the Administrative Procedure.
An appeal may be filed against the final decision to the President of the IPB within 15 working days after the respective notification.
Additional comments: Documents proving the ownership of academic degrees or diplomas, or enrollment in an academic degree or diploma, may be dispensed with during the application stage, being replaced by a declaration of honor by the candidate, and verification of this condition is mandatory during the grant contracting stage.
Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries require recognition by a Portuguese Institution in accordance with Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16th and Ordinance No. 33/2019, of January 25th. The presentation of recognition is mandatory for the signing of the contract.
