Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CMDB Administrator to manage and maintain our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) on ServiceNow ITSM and its custom integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the CMDB accurately reflects our IT infrastructure, which spans multiple cloud platforms and data centers. This role involves collaboration with DevOps automation and IT teams to gather, analyze, and input data into the CMDB, ensuring seamless integration and operation with external software systems.
Qualifications CMDB Management: Maintain an up-to-date CMDB that accurately reflects the IT infrastructure. Regularly perform audits and validations to ensure data integrity.
Integration and Automation: Develop and maintain integrations with external software, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and VMware environments. Use ServiceNow flows and automations to streamline processes.
Data Handling: Manage and manipulate data exchanges between ServiceNow and external systems through custom APIs. Handle JSON files and manage API responses effectively.
Service Mapping: Build and maintain accurate service maps within the CMDB to visualize dependencies and relationships among components.
Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights through reports and dashboards.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to CMDB data discrepancies and integration problems. Provide technical support and guidance on CMDB-related queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent in experience.
Proven experience with ServiceNow ITSM and CMDB management.
Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure , AWS , and VMware .
Expertise in ServiceNow development, including building flows , automations , and service maps .
Proficiency with APIs , JSON , and data manipulation.
Experience with scripting languages, preferably PowerShell .
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in ServiceNow ITSM.
Prior experience in a similar role within large, complex environments.
Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
