We are recruiting a CIO for a growing biotech company based in Oporto.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company's IT vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with overall business objectives;
Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance productivity, customer experience, and operational efficiency;
Oversee the selection and implementation of new technologies and ensure their alignment with business needs;
Establish policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and efficiency of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure;
Manage IT risks, including cybersecurity threats, data privacy regulations, and disaster recovery planning;
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards;
Oversee the development and management of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services;
Ensure the smooth operation of critical systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) and maintain a robust IT support structure;
Implement scalable solutions to support business growth and expansion;
Lead and mentor the IT department, including hiring, training, and developing technology talent;
Partner with other C-suite executives, including the CEO and CFO, to align IT strategy with the company's overall objectives;
Present IT performance reports, project updates, and strategic recommendations to the board of directors and senior management.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred);
Extensive experience (10+ years) in IT leadership roles, including management of IT strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation projects;
Deep knowledge of Oracle Netsuite is a plus;
Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management;
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to foster collaboration across departments;
Strong business acumen and ability to align IT strategy with organizational goals;
Experience with budget management, vendor negotiations, and contract management;
Effective communication skills to engage with both technical teams and senior executives.
