No Offer Description UNINOVA – Instituto de Desenvolvimento de Novas Tecnologias opens an international call to hire an Auxiliar Research Technician under a fixed-term part-time contract for the following research projects funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme: COMMUNITAS – 101096508: Accelerate the roll-out and expansion of Energy Communities and empower consumers as fully-fledged energy market players. FITTER – 101132546: Fair and inclusive twin transitions for a stronger social Europe. Admission Requirements/Profile of Candidates: Minimum of 2 years of experience in applied research, participating in European research projects. Experience in Big Data development (e.G., Hadoop). Experience with Python and R programming languages. Knowledge in Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning (mandatory). Experience with libraries such as Spark MLLib, Scikit Learn, Weka (preferential). Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) - mandatory. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Dynamism and ability to perform different tasks. Immediate availability - mandatory. The works are part of the research activities of the projects COMMUNITAS and FITTER, specifically: WP2 – COMMUNITAS Platform: an open, digital "one-stop-shop" to accelerate energy communities. WP4 – COMMUNITAS Social Innovation and Policy Laboratory. WP7 – COMMUNITAS Knowledge Arena: Communication, Dissemination, and Policy Support. Start Date and Workplace: The contract is expected to start in November 2024 and will last for approximately 8 months. The project will be developed at UNINOVA and other necessary locations.
