Our client, an innovative company who is developing a new technology, is looking for a Buyer (M/F) in Lisbon.
As the Buyer you are responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory to support our industrial and business processes.
Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate suppliers for quality, price, and delivery and negotiate contracts and terms;
Manage shipment processes and logistics, including international Incoterms and customs compliance;
Monitor and audit inventory levels to ensure timely availability and resolve inventory discrepancies;
Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve issues promptly;
Evaluate supplier performance for improvement;
Create and process purchase orders;
Track orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery and address order discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods;
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies;
Maintain accurate procurement documentation.
Requirements:
Engineering degree in industrial or mechanical engineering (plus);
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably in an industrial setting;
Knowledge of market trends and supply chain principles;
Experience with customs documentation, international trade regulations and understanding of Incoterms;
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite;
Experience with SAP (plus);
Proficient in Portuguese and English;
Strong negotiation and communication skills;
Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Collaborative mindset and team player.
