Your missionTo strengthen our Procurement team in Portugal, we are currently looking for a Buyer.
In this position you will report to the Procurement Manager and work within a multidisciplinary team.
You will be part of the Operations Team, and you will be based in Vila do Conde.
Key responsibilitiesAs a Buyer you will be responsible for the procurement and purchase of multiple materials and services.
You will be responsible for:
SourcingSearch and analyze suppliers in the market.
Prepare quotation requests, analyze and negotiate for the optimum terms and conditions and in close alignment with the Procurement Manager.
Create and manage contracts with the suppliers to set the conditions for the purchases (right time, best price, quality and service).
Purchase materials and services.
Manage an approved supplier base and continuously strengthen the relationship management with the suppliers, to improve their performance.
AdministrationPerform administrative tasks related to the Procurement activities of the department.
Enter and maintain data within the data management systems.
Your profileMedium to high educations;Relevant work experience in a similar position (at least 2 years);Advanced level of English;Good user IT competences (Office tools, ERP);Strong cost analysis ability;Strong negotiation and communication skills;Strong interpersonal and excellent collaborative problem solving skills;Focused on plan development, drawing justified conclusions from analyses, and translating these into concrete plans, advice and improvements;Able to work according to long term plans, oversee a concrete project, know and recognize cause and effect, keeping operational considerations in mind;Availability to travel.Are you ready to grow with us?The people behind our products and brands make Dorel Juvenile an even stronger company.
