ABOUT THE ROLE We have an incredible opportunity for a Business Controller overseeing our Commercial function to join our SDO team in Lisbon. As a Business Controller – Commercial, you will be responsible for overseeing internal day-to-day Financial and Business Controlling & Analytics operations. This position involves collaborating with various departments – Group Finance, Shared Services, Finance Business Partners, Operations, and Business itself to conduct analysis and provide insights to contribute to strategic decision-making within the organization.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? Conduct financial controlling on P/L and BS, and various product groups, areas, countries, and brands.Ensure the accuracy of IP (Intercompany Profit) elimination processes.Conduct business controlling – explain simple deviations and identify their causes in collaboration with Finance Business Partners.Update and manage monthly Business Summary Review (BSR) reports.Monthly controlling of Cognos load in Tabular.Prepare / transform and upload forecast data into financial planning software (Jedox) based on consolidating input from different systems.Support Finance Business Partners in Commercial with reports / presentation preparation (ad-hoc).Proactively raise issues/concerns if any which can impact the performance of activities within timelines.Identify opportunities for process scope extension / improvement within the business controlling function and implement streamlined processes.Actively participate in functional and technical training related to ERP Systems and consolidation tools to enhance knowledge and improve financial / business controlling capabilities.WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance / MBA CMA or CPA are preferred.Total relevant controlling / FP&A experience of 3-5 years.Strong understanding of financial, management reporting, and controlling activities.Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4 HANA), proficiency in Excel.Experience with consolidation and forecasting tools (e.g., IBM Cognos, Jedox) is a plus.Strategic thinking, and strong analytical skills.Strong communication and presentation skills.Positive and curious mindset.Previous experience in a Shared Service Center or multinational environment is a plus.WHAT IS ON OFFER?
