ABOUT THE ROLE We have an incredible opportunity for a Business Controller overseeing our Business Operations function to join our SDO team in Lisbon. As a Business Controller – Business Operations, you will be responsible for enabling Business Operations and its Finance Business Partners to maximize their financial contribution to the STG company goals. Success is measured by an increased level of financial predictability and forecast accuracy and enhanced capability for the Business Operations team to improve financials year over year.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? Communication of updates, issues and problems related to the Financial and Business Controlling process to Reporting & Analytics CoE Solution Lead.Support Group R&A in performing inventory accounting, including reconciliation, stock difference analysis, and aging analysis in collaboration with Finance Business Partners.Conduct Financial and Business Controlling – explain deviations and identify root causes in collaboration with Finance Business Partners.Analyze purchase price variance (PPV) and purchase orders.Monitor CAPEX and Fixed assets with Asset Accounting Team and provide inputs for capitalization of assets.Provide insights in maintenance costs (with support of BI report for usage of spare parts on machines).Financial planning / rolling forecast preparation in coordination with the Finance Business Partners and upload data into the financial planning software (Jedox).Provide project support by supplying and uploading data requests from Finance Business Partners.Proactively raise issues/concerns if any which can impact the performance of activities within timelines.Identify opportunities for process scope extension/improvement within business controlling function and implement streamlined processes.Actively participate in functional and technical training related to ERP Systems and consolidation & planning tools to enhance knowledge and improve financial/business controlling capabilities.WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance / MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.Total relevant business controlling / FP&A experience of 3-5 years.Strong understanding of financial, management reporting, and controlling activities.Experience working with financial forecasting software and ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4 HANA), proficiency in Excel.Experience with consolidation and planning tools (e.g., IBM Cognos and Jedox is a plus).Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.Previous experience in a Shared Service Center or multinational environment is a plus.WHAT IS ON OFFER?
