BySide is seeking an AWS Operations Engineer to join our Engineering team.

BySide has grown from a 3-person startup in 2006 to an 80+ person team, with the mission to improve our clients' marketing results through Lead Activation: the ability to maximize revenue from visitors on a website, app, or landing page. We achieve this by building and applying our technology: a platform that offers a unique combination of a Marketing Cloud and a Cloud Contact Centre. Recently, we have been acquired by the CoreMedia Group located in Hamburg (Germany).
Our Engineering team is in charge of building the next generation of our platform and optimizing a highly scalable system's architecture. Our platform is critical for business operations in some of the world's largest retailers, banks, and telecommunication companies. We handle more than 13 billion pageviews and 12 million calls a year, so high availability is key.
As an AWS Operations Engineer, your main responsibility is to operate the product safely and securely on behalf of our customers, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service in collaboration with the DevOps Engineers.
Main Responsibilities
Perform system updates and modifications to system configurations on behalf of customers and other stakeholders;
Respond to system incidents, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to restore services;
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on system status and changes;
Collaborate within the Support and Operations team, and cooperate with the DevOps team, to answer questions and troubleshoot problems;
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools;
Monitor and enforce security policies and procedures;
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations;
Regularly be part of 24/7 on-call rotation.
Key Requirements
2 years of experience with system administration, network management, and infrastructure design;
Proficiency in the command line (Linux) and scripting skills (Python, bash);
Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform);
Experience with AWS, Docker, and virtualization management platforms (e.g., oVirt);
Strong knowledge of monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, Loki, Zabbix;
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues;
Ability to quickly assess and resolve operational challenges;
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
