.Offer Description Competition for recruitment of an assistant researcher 1 – Title ASSISTANT RESEARCHER In accordance with article 129 (5) of Decree-Law no. 17/2024, 29 January, and Deliberation of the Board of Directors of LNEC, I.P., 7 June 2024, an external call of international selection is launched for recruitment of an assistant researcher in the scientific field of Roads, Railways and Airfields, integrated in the staff of LNEC. This notice has been prepared in compliance with article 24 (1) of Decree-Law no. 124/99, 20 April. 3 – Nature of the competition The competition consists of the assessment of the curriculum vitae and scientific work of the candidate(s). 4 – Functional content The assistant researcher shall be responsible for carrying out, on a regular basis, apart from the research and development activities established in article 5 (1) of Decree-Law no. 124/99, other scientific and technical activities integrated in the competences of this National Laboratory, such as: Supervising higher education students' theses, namely graduation, post-graduation, Master's, and Doctoral theses; Disseminating and publishing non-confidential results of the scientific and technical activity carried out; Carrying out the functions for which he/she has been elected or appointed and participating in the sessions of LNEC's collegiate bodies. 5 – Researcher Profiles Assistant Researcher (R3) 6 – Scientific field Roads, Railways and Airfields 7 – Type of Contract / Job Status Fixed-term employment contract in public functions, for a one-year term, renewable up to three years. 9 – How to apply Completion of the application form available in the Recrutamento page, on LNEC's website, with clear indication of the reference of the competition/scientific field of application and enclosing the required documents. Workplace: LNEC – National Laboratory for Civil Engineering, I.P. The research activities shall be carried out at the Transport Infrastructures Unit (NIT) of the Transportation Department (DT), without prejudice to the possibility of carrying out activities in other units and performing temporary missions in Portugal or abroad. REQUIREMENTS Candidates must hold a doctorate degree in the scientific field of "Roads, Railways and Airfields", or a related field, and be proficient in the Portuguese language. ADDITIONAL INFO The base remuneration corresponds to €3427.59 or €2285.06, depending on the dedication basis.
