Alter Solutions Portugal is an IT Consultancy Company, promoter of Digital Transformation, part of the Alter Solutions Group, created in 2006, in Paris.In Portugal, we partner with over 120 clients and a team of over 500 people, working in projects for industries as diverse as banking, insurance, transportation, aviation, energy, and telecom.Headquarters of the Nearshore IT center, Alter Solutions Portugal has a dedicated team of around 30 specialized professionals, integrated into projects with several internationally renowned clientsJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Application Support engineer with at least 2 years of experience.Main Responsibilities:Support the business in their IT needs and understand the business workflows and scenariosMaintaining a proper coverage in their designated shiftVoluntarily picking up work and tasks as received over email, tickets or in personProvide business, team members and other project/task partnering teams updates on the issue/task/projectDocumenting and training other team membersShadow other team members and seek to learn to improve day to day coverage of the platformsSharing knowledge within the team as well documenting the issues/incidents for better follow upImproving day to day tasks by writing scripts and automate tasks that are procedure orientedContribute towards better post-release checkoutsUnderstand the underlying issue and the associated patch fix/release and identify systemic issueAvailability to work during Holidays / Weekends as per pre-defined needs and on a rotational basis with the rest of the teamTechnical skills:Basic knowledge and capabilities in scripting languages, network, Windows and Linux environmentsGood level of SQL (Sybase, Oracle or Microsoft) – minimum 2 years of experienceBusiness knowledge: Candidate should be looking to build upon a solid knowledge base in Investment Banking and trade workflow from creation to accountingITIL understanding is also a plusKnowledge of UnixGood Level of EnglishAccuracy, reactivity & proactivity, autonomy and curiosity#J-18808-Ljbffr
