We were among the first Fortune 500 companies to launch a company-wide LLM Gateway in 2023, currently used by more than 80 teams across Nokia.
We are now seeking a Domain Architect for AI and GenAI, who will play a pivotal role in continuing to drive and support the use of AI across our enterprise applications.
Together with the existing teams of AI Engineers, data scientists, and product owners, the role will be transversal and work closely with application architects and owners to find opportunities and the right solutions for implementing GenAI in our processes, tools, and applications across Nokia.

The Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO) is one of the six DO units responsible for the overall Nokia data strategy, including providing modern and common data technology & platforms and capabilities for driving value from and capitalizing on Nokia's vast data.
Our portfolio of enablers and services includes several different platforms, tools, technologies, expertise, and delivery teams around data management, machine learning, data governance, and master data.
Within ECDO, the Data Governance and Architecture team drives the Nokia Data Governance practices and defines the architecture strategy in Master Data Management, Advanced Analytics, and AI domains.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn As a Domain Architect in the ECDO Data Governance and Architecture team, you will contribute to a number of activities, including:
Monitor market & technology trends in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, GenAI, and related areas.Contribute to Nokia AI/GenAI strategy definition, touching areas like AI governance, AI Technology & Solution Selection, and AI Capability map definition.Define, document, and communicate reference architectures and guidelines for AI/GenAI based solutions used or built by Nokia.Guide and coach Nokia project teams to ensure solution architectures meet Domain Architecture principles and guidelines.Communicate and align with stakeholders across Nokia to bridge the gap between business perspectives & expectations and IT architecture & technology roadmaps.Contribute to the AI/GenAI training and enablement effort of Nokia teams, improving overall understanding and maturity around AI across the company.To achieve your mission, you will work closely with other Nokia teams, including:
Other Domain Architects, to understand and align with other domain architecture roadmaps.Delivery teams in Digital Office or Business units, to support the implementation of new AI/GenAI based solutions or capabilities.S&T Group Security team, to ensure liaison with Data security and compliance disciplines.Key Skills And Experience To be successful, we believe that the right candidate has a combination of strong IT and Application architecture together with visible experience of AI and recent exposure to GenAI and LLM implementations and architecture.
Strong communication skills, self-drive, and a collaborative mindset will be key.
Strong knowledge of Information/Data Architecture concepts.Strong knowledge and experience with AI and pipeline architectures of ML and deep learning workloads: components and architectural trade-offs across data management, governance, model building, deployment, and industrialization.Experience in GenAI/LLM area.Experience with Cloud and hybrid solution deployment and understanding of underlying challenges (security, connectivity).Understanding of Software engineering and DevOps principles (Git, containers, Kubernetes).Capability to engage with Data scientists – Hands-on experience in Data science and advanced analytics (analytics tools such as SAS, R, Python, applied math, ML, DL framework) would be a plus.Strong interest in the Data world – Data Science, AI, GenAI, challenges with security & compliance.Interest in Strategic Thinking.Strong Customer Orientation.Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.High adaptability.Good technical writing ability.Appetite for learning.Education And Experience Master's or five-year degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent discipline.Deep knowledge of AI/GenAI theory and 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience in the AI/ML domain.About Us Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed, and cloud networks.
