.Location: in our offices in Lisbon, on a hybrid working schedule (3 days in the offices and 2 days working from home per week).About the Role:The Accounting Manager is responsible for Accounting Finance and Tax team in Portugal. The selected candidate will be responsible for monthly closing reports and closing process and providing timely and accurate reporting in accordance with both local regulations and US GAAP requirements.This position is also responsible to ensure that bookkeeping is in accordance with local regulations and Corporate Policies and Procedures, as well as responsible for country Quarterly Balance review with EMEA Business Control.In this role you will be responsible for:Accounting: Oversees financial and accounting processes to ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/Standards and ethical standards with unyielding integrity; supports the Country Controller with independent auditors (external and internal); complete and review accounting close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations; manages administration of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control accounting, payroll, and local tax payments; helps in allocation items in the Balance in coordination with the Local and GBS team.Tax: Responsible for all taxes are presenting them on time. Payment and calculation of all local taxes; maintains all substantiation records for tax.Reporting: Preparation of the annual financial plan and forecasts. Prepare financial Statement. Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Committee. Prepare financial reports to support the analysis of main KPI's. Prepare accurate financial statements in US and Local GAAP.Controls: Ensures all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards and the internal Quality Management System.Treasury: Handles bank administration, funds transfers and foreign exchange dealings under the direction of Corporate Treasury and Country Controller.Balance Sheet and Assets Management: Responsible for balance review and reconciliations of accounts. Achieve effective balance sheet and assets management; develop and maintain credit and collection policies, procedures and processes for effective AR management; development and carrying-out of inventory control procedures, including physical stock-take, audit and control of both warehouse and hospital consignment inventory; maintain proper inventory reserves for Excess, Expired and Obsolete Inventory; coordinate effective cash management and cash forecasting to ensure smooth cash flows for business operations while maintaining a minimum idle cash balance; maintains asset register to well keep track on and safeguard company assets
