The Position
Working Capital Analyst – Order to Cash (OTC)
Role Description: The Working Capital Analyst role is essential for effectively managing cash flow forecasts in the short, medium, and long term within the Order to Cash (OTC) process. This position involves continuously reviewing actual financial results, comparing them to forecasts, identifying and closing any gaps between forecasts and actuals. The analyst will work closely with the OTC teams to ensure that numbers are consistently aligned and accurately reported in cash flow statements. Experience in OTC is required.
Responsibilities:
Cash Flow Forecasting: Develop and manage cash flow forecasts for short, medium, and long-term periods, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.
Reviewing Actuals: Analyze current financial results, compare them with forecasts, identify variances, and propose solutions to close any gaps.
Monitoring DSO (Days Sales Outstanding): Calculate and monitor DSO, identify trends, and suggest strategies to improve collection times.
Collaboration with Order to Cash: Maintain clear communication with the OTC team to ensure financial figures are aligned and forecasts accurately reflect the actual cash flow status.
Data Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of financial data related to collections and incoming cash, providing insights and recommendations for better working capital management.
Reporting: Create and maintain accurate and detailed documentation on forecasts, variance analysis, and cash flow status.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in working capital management processes.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with different parts of the organization.
Knowledge in calculating and analyzing DSO.
Proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions.
