Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Web Developer will be responsible for designing, enhancing and supporting various internal proprietary systems. One of their key immediate objectives will be to design and develop a 'Clinical Workflow Portal' from the ground up. The portal will integrate with an existing custom CRM solution built using the PHP and MySQL database. The role involves building user-friendly forms, importing CSV files into the database, and generating reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web development, database management, and data integration, with the ability to manage workflows data based on the Clinical team requirements and provide insightful data visualizations. Additionally, this position involves collaborating on the ongoing maintenance and development of the custom CRM solution and supporting the IT infrastructure in Lagoa's office, including end-user devices.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement a Clinical Workflow Portal with an intuitive interface for managing clinical workflows.
Integrate the portal with an existing CRM system developed with PHP Yii framework and MySQL.
Create forms that allow users to input data into the MySQL database.
Develop functionality for importing CSV files into the MySQL database and ensuring data integrity.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases to collect and manipulate data (Queries/ Reports) from MSQL and MySQL.
Manage Windows IIS Web Server including MySQL database/backups.
Maintaining GIT projects up to date.
Build dashboards and generate reports preferably using Microsoft Power BI.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure security best practices are followed, especially with sensitive healthcare data.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of both frontend and backend components.
Document development processes and provide technical support post-launch.
Helping with troubleshooting system hardware and software issues, and maintaining the inventory database for all electronic equipment, parts, and supplies.
Assist with IT orientation for new and existing employees in the Azores.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
2+ years' experience in web development and testing.
Proficiency in PHP (especially Laravel and Yii framework experience is preferred).
Strong background in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Strong experience in MySQL database management and optimization.
Experience with building complex queries, indexing, and stored procedures in MySQL.
Knowledge of database import/export functionalities (especially with CSV files).
Familiarity with integrating third-party tools for reporting and dashboards.
Experience in using Microsoft Power BI for generating reports and visualizations is an asset.
Experience with back-end PHP development, particularly in integrating data from different sources (e.g., RESTful APIs, databases).
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Knowledge of IIS Microsoft Windows Web Server.
Proven knowledge of the most current security and web development programming languages.
A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese required.
Must be a highly motivated, hands-on professional.
