About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic individual to join our IT organization as Vice President, IT Procurement and Vendor Management.
This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with Nokia's overall business objectives and drives value across the IT landscape.
Responsibilities HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a long-term IT procurement strategy that optimizes cost, efficiency, and risk mitigation, ensuring alignment with business needs and technology roadmap.Vendor Partnerships: Lead the development and execution of a robust vendor management framework, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance management, and risk assessment.Procurement Excellence: Oversee all aspects of IT procurement operations, including sourcing, bidding, contract administration, and supplier relationship management.Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the IT procurement lifecycle, leveraging best practices and innovative sourcing strategies.Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with IT procurement and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Team Collaboration: Build, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across IT, business units, and legal departments to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives.Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT procurement and vendor management, actively participating in relevant professional organizations and forums. Key Skills And Experience Bachelor's degree in information technology, management, finance, business administration, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
Legal training is a plus.Proven experience in IT procurement and vendor management, with a successful track record of leading and delivering strategic initiatives.Deep understanding of the global IT hardware, software, and services industry.
Thought leader and strategic thinker on big-tech strategies and direction of the industry and its key players.Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in complex vendor negotiations and agreements.Proven ability to develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies that drive value for the organization.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
