About the role: We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Virtual Quality Control Technician to join our team in our office in Maia. This role involves verifying quality documents and inspection reports, and ensuring supplied parts align with customer specifications. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, tech-savvy, and possesses a Mechanical Engineering background.
Main responsibilities: Verify vendor-uploaded inspection reports against customer drawings and specifications.
Review and validate vendor material certificates, XRF reports, and related QA documentation.
Assess images and videos of manufactured parts to ensure they meet customer-provided files.
Identify threads, critical dimensions, and potential faults using GD&T and engineering drawings.
Communicate quality issues with suppliers and collaborate with the order management team to resolve them.
Suggest and implement proactive solutions for recurring quality issues.
Reject non-conforming parts and maintain clear documentation of decisions.
Experience Required: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience (open to entry-level candidates willing to learn).
Strong attention to detail and familiarity with quality defect identification.
Basic knowledge of tolerances, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
Proficiency in using Google Suite.
Fluent in English with effective communication skills.
Prior experience in reading and reviewing engineering drawings.
Desired experience: Familiarity with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is an advantage.
Experience in reviewing 3D models and identifying faults is beneficial.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Preferred but not required).
