ABOUT THE ROLE: From educational tutorials to entertaining ads, video content is a key component of Algorand's marketing strategy. We're looking to bring on a skilled and nimble video editor and motion graphics designer who can own this medium, working with the company's brand, creative, and social media leads. The content under this role's purview will span both long and short format video that is used across many different platforms. The editor will need to have strong motion graphic skills to create/augment content pieces and will also frequently take real-world footage shot by external production teams and stock footage to edit videos based on project requirements. Occasionally, the editor will also be responsible for recording footage to be edited (i.E. screen recording virtual presentations to be edited, etc.). The person should be able to take and implement feedback while also gaining their own familiarity with Algorand brand standards and creative guidelines to grow into a more ownership role on all video content. KEY REQUIREMENTS – TECHNICAL Deep experience with video editing software like Final Cut Pro / Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc. Experience creating content for social channels like YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels, and for Learning Management Systems (LMS). Knowledge of basic editing principles, framing, aspect ratios, video encoding formats, high-resolution file transfer applications. Color grading. Ability to work with multi-track split audio and a talent for sound design. KEY REQUIREMENTS – OTHER Experience working on video editing as part of a marketing team; strong understanding ofvideo's role in marketing strategy. Nimble, organized, and able to meet and exceed deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Creative and solutions-oriented. Strong project management skills; able to work on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
