Job TitleVendor Manager - Airport ITSummary:Amadeus Airport and Airline Operations (AAO) provides our Airport customers with innovative cloud-based technology and hardware, enhancing operational efficiencies for the benefit of airport authorities, airlines, and ultimately a better passenger experience.Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple categories, managing and improving the existing supplier performance across our product portfolio, and seeking new suppliers. You will negotiate favorable outcomes for Amadeus and work closely with various stakeholders, such as sales, product management, design teams, manufacturing operations, manufacturing supply chain, finance, legal, and vendors, to ensure that we have the right suppliers performing to meet customer demand and business objectives. You will guide decision-making and collaboration in relation to best practice procurement principles, policies, and practices. You will manage sourcing events including contractual requirements, issuing an RFx, managing responses, coordinating the evaluation, and developing the recommendation. You will have a broad understanding of the industry and use it to recommend best practices, ensure improvements, and influence the strategic direction of the department. You will support the implementation of the procurement strategy.In this role you will:Manage procurement bidding processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations across different departments.Coordinate with all stakeholders pre and post-award vendor selection functions for procurement involving contracts for supplies, equipment, services, and projects.Identify savings and cost avoidance opportunities such as volume and vendor consolidation opportunities, and effective purchasing/contracting practices.Actively participate to ensure that cooperative negotiation with suppliers takes place, and information and best practices are openly shared.Provide support to stakeholders' needs in terms of reporting on vendor performance, spendanalysis, and contract information. Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to relevant solicitors on contract and sourcing activities to support internal departments and meet targets.Manage key vendor/partner relationships to ensure Amadeus benefits from attractive pricing and cooperative relations from reputable suppliers and supplier networks.Manage vendor performance including:Compliance (vendor contracts)Risk reviews and mitigationsPricing agreementsEscalationMaintain and expand reporting to key stakeholders including but not limited to:Regularly updated pricing cataloguesLead times for hardware componentsSupply chain issues and mitigationsVendor performance, segmentation, and spend analysisNegotiate contract and prices to secure business competitiveness:Ensure Vendor enrollment complying with Amadeus policies (NDA, Service Risk Assessment, Due Diligence etc.)Negotiating contracts which secure business and mitigate consequences in case of issues with vendorsNegotiating price agreements that help the business to be more competitive by saving money.About the Ideal Candidate:A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.Experience in a commercial role or activities closely linked to Vendor/Sourcing management or Supply Chain is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and any other analytical tools such as PowerBI or Qlik is a plus.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Negotiation of commercial arrangements.The Vendor Manager needs to clearly understand the technical, commercial, and legal impacts of the product and solution design in order to support RFI/RFP requirements.Experience in a role within a Procurement function in a large, complex organization. Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.
