Our Valuations team supports our clients in understanding the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, intangibles, and other assets. The team also provides financial and economic insights that are critical to strategic decision making. Due to expanding business, the firm is looking to hire a Valuations Senior Associate for our Lisbon office to participate in client engagements. WHAT YOU'LL DO Perform valuations for M&A transactions, tax, financial reporting, portfolio valuation, fairness opinions, restructuring and disputes. As the valuations team sits within the Corporate Finance department, you will also be expected to have an active role within M&A and CF related tasks. Direct support to Project Manager and Partner on ad hoc client-related projects. Closely coordinate the work of a team of Analysts/Senior Analysts. Provide ongoing training to Analysts/Senior Analysts. Daily interaction and troubleshooting with high-profile clients (primary liaison). Handling day-to-day correspondence with clients and their representatives. Generating client-facing presentations, reports, data analysis, financial modelling and valuations. WHAT YOU HAVE Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the valuations department of big-4 or other consulting firms is preferred. Understanding of valuation requirements and methodologies for different purposes, including a mix of experience in valuations for financial reporting (such as purchase price allocations and valuation of intangible assets), tax and portfolio valuation. Strong financial modelling skills required. Fluency in English at a proficient level. Previous full-time education taught in English or previous full-time employment in a country of official English language are an advantage. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese are an advantage. Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (Finance, Business, Economics or similar). Have sound knowledge of recognized valuation guidelines, such as IPEV guidelines or IVS and the relevant financial reporting standards (i.E., IFRS 3, IAS 36). Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (advanced level). Interest in the financial services industry and good awareness of the industry. Advanced technical and analytical skills in Corporate Finance. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Time management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
