Offer Description According to paragraph d under no.1 of Article 10 of the Statutes of the School of Hospitality and Tourism (ESHT) of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P.PORTO), a selection process to hire an Adjunct Professor is now open. Candidates may apply for a period of 30 working days, starting from the publication date of this notice in the Portuguese Official Gazette. The vacancy is for a permanent position in ESHT, as Tenure Track Lecturer in the area of Hospitality and Catering; the post-holder will be offered an open-ended contract in Civil Service.
Workplace: ESHT, School of Hospitality and Tourism.
Job description: A Tenure Track Lecturer is expected to carry out the duties and roles as described in the Faculty Policies.
Specific Requirements To be considered for the position, candidates must:
Meet the conditions laid out in the General Employment Law for Civil Service.
Meet the conditions laid out in the Faculty Policies.
For candidates whose qualifications were acquired in foreign institutions, proof of recognition by a Portuguese institution is required.
Selection Criteria The selection method will assess the candidates' curricula, focusing on professional and technical-scientific performance, pedagogical skills, and other relevant activities.
Additional Information Applicants will be ranked based on the assessment parameters determined for the selection process. The selection panel may conduct interviews if necessary.
