A call for applications is now open for the attribution of one initiation to research grant, within the scope of the "Be.Neutral - Agenda de Mobilidade para a neutralidade carbónica nas cidades" (n.º 02-C05-i01.02-2022.PC644874240-00000016), financed by PRR (Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência), through IAPMEI - Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação.
Scientific area : Electronics Engineering
Recipient category : Students enrolled in a bachelor's degree who, on the date of their hiring, prove their enrollment in one Bachelor's in the area or related area to the one requested in the notice.
Requirement for granting the fellowship : Candidates may apply without prior registration for the course for which the scholarship is open. The requirement to enroll in a degree-awarding course will be verified on the date of contracting the scholarship.
- Only scholarships will be contracted whose selected candidates present valid proof of enrollment in the degree-awarding course. BIIs can only be awarded to those who do not exceed an accumulated period of one year in this type of scholarship, consecutive or interpolated.
Preferred Factors : Knowledge of assembly and C programming languages for microcontrollers.
Applicants eligibility : Applicants must comply with the eligibility conditions laid down in article 9 of the Research Grants Regulation of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (2019).
Workplan and objectives to be achieved : The work plan is included in WP2 - "Plataformas de Gestão de serviços de mobilidade e conectividade", with particular focus on the development and assessment of connectivity devices (embedded systems), focusing on the metrology of the embedded connectivity devices.
Research Grant duration : The grant will take place for a period of 12 months, with a provisional starting in December, 2024. The scholarship contract is not renewed.
Amount of the research grant : The value stipend (Monthly Maintenance Allowance) is 601,12€/month, in accordance with the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT I.P.) scholarship value table in the country. Payment is made on the 23rd of each month.
Other benefits : Reimbursement of Voluntary Social Security (Social Security contributions) and personal accident insurance.
Exclusivity regime : The grantee will perform the activities under exclusivity, as foreseen in article 5º of the Research Fellow Statutes and applicable regulations.

Criteria and procedures for applications assessment and selection : The applications assessment will focus on the merit of the candidate, following the selection methods, valued on a scale of 0 to 20 values. Merit of the Candidate (MC) – 100%
a. Academic path, with a weighting of 50%;
b. Personal Curriculum, with a weighting of 50%;
The final classification (MC) is achieved through the formula: MC = (a*0,5) + (b*0,5).
