Learning opportunities happen all the time and our teachers are responsible for actively facilitating these opportunities. The teachers coach our students through phases of interdisciplinary units of learning, guiding and monitoring their progress along personal learning pathways.We are looking for candidates who can challenge traditional methods, embrace emerging trends, and inspire transformative learning environments. In addition, this role requires a passion for travel, as you will have the opportunity to explore diverse educational landscapes every six months.The position is set to begin in March 2024, offering primary teachers the chance to engage in a 6-month rotation across each Boundless destination.Initial placements are available in:Syros, GreeceTuscany, ItalySintra, PortugalPrimary ResponsibilitiesDuty of care of all childrenPromote a sense of community and belonging within all classes and explorer groupsFoster positive self-image and holistic well-being of all children, encompassing their physical, social, and emotional healthPlan lessons in an interdisciplinary manner, incorporating local experiences in each destinationCreate authentic learning experiences and activities using the Boundless Education Questing frameworkAdvise and establish goals with children and support them in reaching those goalsMonitor and assess progress through routine use of verbal and written feedback linked directly to learning objectivesEnsure that the learned curriculum and taught curriculum are aligned with the written curriculumMaximise the use of educational technology tools to further children's learningProvide weekly updates to parentsFind and highlight a common thread that connects different Boundless destinationsTake the time to connect with each individual child and provide a more personalized journeyQualificationsBachelor's degree (Master's degree or higher preferred).Minimum of two years of full-time classroom experience.Experience working with inquiry-based educational programs.Experience teaching in collaborative teams.Experience working with a culturally and linguistically diverse student body.Knowledge of:Child safety and protection practicesAge-appropriate psychological and social/emotional needs of childrenResearch-supported instructional techniques.A range of assessment strategies and learning activities.Subject knowledge and skillsAbility to:Collaboratively plan and manage engaging learning experiencesDesign and conduct instruction addressing a diversity of student readinessAnticipate and adapt to opportunities that may arise as 'teachable moments'Identify relevant connections of subject content to current events and issues in the local or global communityCreate innovative methods for embedding those connections in instruction.Skilled in:Communicating clearly and effectively in both oral and written language.Establishing and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with students, staff, families, and the surrounding communityBalancing the demands of work with one's family obligations and personal well-being.We will provide you with training, guidance, and on-going support to set up and implement the Boundless Education concept.Compensation & BenefitsBenefit from our straightforward benefits package tailored for your professional development and work-life balance:Finnish Training & Certification: Free, provided you commit to 2 years with Boundless Life.6-Month Global Rotations: Work in different locations every six monthsHousing: Discounted shared accommodation is provided at each location.
