Our core activity is the development, manufacturing and installation of top-quality racking systems for the storage of palletized or small goods and longer items, as well as mezzanine structures.Location:Ovar, PortugalJob DescriptionBased in Ovar, Portugal, you will temporarily support the planning of transports, mainly maritime exportsMain Responsibilities:Check transport needs and requirements, calculate load dimensions, prepare transport schedule considering number of work hours required, tonnage spread per day, etc., and report accomplishment dailyPrepare and verify required transport documents (packing lists, export documents, etc.), assuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislationClosely follow up the status of shipments to load, namely if all materials are available to load, if the transport is on time, etc., taking actions to mitigate any deviations and reporting changes to internal stakeholdersIf necessary, arrange express shipments and external storageValidate transport invoices, including surcharges related to cancellation, waiting time costs, etc., informing the internal stakeholders and supporting the decision if the surcharge is accepted/rejectedHandle complaints related with transport delays in close cooperation with internal stakeholdersTroubleshoot any transportation issues that may arise and provide solutionsQualificationsMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar roleKnowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirementsUser-level knowledge of SAPStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSolid English language skills, both verbal and written (French is a plus)Resident in Ovar or nearby areaAdditional informationWhat can we provide you?Uncertain term contract, maternity leave replacementWorking closely together with other rack stars in an open and enthusiastic cultureAn attractive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, in an international environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
