About this opportunity You'll join the Trade Support team that is mainly in charge of supporting Front office in their daily activity by being responsible for the post-trading related activities.
We foresee that trade volumes will increase over the next years, and new regulation making deadline even more crucial.
Therefore we seek to continue our work with using data to optimize and automate processes to ensure scalability and efficiency.
We have high aspirations in the post-trade space and are working on implementing new strategic initiatives surrounding the life cycle of a trade across various asset class types - in which you will have an important role.
What you'll be doing: Provide support and maintain a close relationship with the trading teams (Equity, Bonds and FX).
Ensure timely matching of trades in CTM (block and allocation).
Liaise with counterparties and trading about mismatches and ensure fast resolution.
Communicate clearly with the front and back-office teams to ensure operational quality.
Monitor performance of counterparties and build relationships.
Work closely with the business units to on-board new clients into the trade flow.
Identify continuous improvements to optimise the processing of trades as required.
Stakeholder management.
Make sure changes and new procedures are documented.
Participate in projects as required.

We are located at Christiansbro, Copenhagen but you will be working from Nordea's Lisbon office, in Quinta da Fonte (Oeiras).

Your experience and background: +5 years' experience within a financial industry operations or trading function, from the buy-side preferably (asset manager, pension funds…) where you have been supporting Equity/Fixed income and FX trading desks.
Knowledge/experience in Equity/Bonds and FX trade processing (matching, mismatch handling etc.).
Knowledge of CTM, ALERT, SWIFT would be a benefit (but not a prerequisite).
Previous experience is using data/data analytics tool such as PowerBI would be a value-added skill.
Previous experience or genuine interest in coding language (SQL) considered as a beneficial asset.
Fluent English is mandatory (as we are a European asset manager).
