We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the automation of our testing processes. The project involves building a logistics data processing and transformation system based on Java and Apache Kafka. In this role you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing a robust automation strategy, with a focus on ensuring high-quality software. You will work closely with our Test Manager to define the testing scope and lead the automation efforts for the project.
Your responsibilities: Automation Strategy: Define and implement the test automation strategy for Kafka-based applications and related UI componentsTest Automation Development: Build and maintain automated test suites for both backend and frontend components, focusing on technologies such as:Playwright, JS/TS for frontendJava Spring-Boot, Maven, Cucumber, Kafka for backendManual Testing: Conduct manual testing (~20%) to support the team when needed, ensuring full test coverage across the systemCI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and deployment processesCollaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure clarity on requirements and seamless integration of automation effortsMentoring: Mentor other team members in test automation best practices and assist in code reviewReporting & Analysis: Analyse test results, identify bugs, and work closely with the development team, ensuring product quality before each releaseOur requirements: 4+ years of experience in test automation, with hands-on experience in Kafka-based applicationsShift Left Expertise: Demonstrated experience in applying Shift Left principles to testing, with a focus on early defect detection and preventionExperience with Java Spring-Boot and CucumberProficiency with PlaywrightExperience with JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience with GITExperience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable test automation frameworksFamiliarity with performance and load testing tools like JMeterFamiliarity with cloud platforms like AzureFamiliarity with CI/CD processesExperience with manual testingExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to details, and ability to work independently and proactivelyWhat we offer: Permanent contract (with basic salary in 14 installments per year)Private medical careEnglish courses - financial or co-financed by companyFood allowance (EUR 9.60, per working day)Work schedule 35h/weekHybrid and flexible work (3 days in a week at the office)Comprehensive onboarding programBuddyGood access to public transportsDSV - Transporte Global e Logística A DSV é um local de trabalho dinâmico que promove a inclusão e a diversidade.
