Hardware Engineer, Prototyping and Validation
You will work with a cross-functional engineering team of Analog & Digital designers and hardware engineers with a variety of backgrounds. Our R&D lab is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for high accuracy, high-speed testing, and debugging.
As part of the thorough product validation within Synopsys, the function includes:
Definition and execution of rigorous verification test-benches:
To perform system-level validation of products under development, and
To guarantee circuit performance and interoperability.
Debugging and problem-solving: Requires solid skills for explaining circuits' behavior and limitations.
Project responsibilities: Sustaining the continuous improvement cycle towards excellence. It encompasses:
Test specifications
Test setup
Test execution and data collection/consolidation/reporting
Knowledge management.
Skills
Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree
Previous work with electronics test instrumentation
Familiarity with board schematics and layouts
Scripting and programming
Good organization and communication skills
Self-motivation, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Valued Experience
IC design
FPGA development tools, Verilog HDL
Instrumentation (examples: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, bit error rate tester, network analyzer)
High-speed electronics
Know-how on test automation engines (for example Jenkins)
C/C++, Python, MATLAB.
