Responsible for assigned OSV Division Vessels overall technical status.
Supervise and monitor daily vessels technical and maintenance activities, technical availability, and adequate level of spare parts on board.
Responsible for establishing direct and regular communication with assigned OSV fleet CE's and crew. Support to CEs in communications with 3rd parties, with the shore support team and with head office departments.
Manage, study, approve and supervise all technical requisitions and supplies to the vessels. Expedite Pur-Log functions accordingly and clearly on priorities. Coordinate with Pur-Log dpt. on daily basis the vessel procurement register.
Ensure adequate defects reports are issued by CE, review / approve / manage and expedite corrective actions towards the effective closure of Defect reports. Ensure Vessel Summary of Defect Reports, Actions List and any other reporting tool on BASSNET or PIMS is maintained updated and accurate.
Responsible for issuing reports on technical operations/vessels inspection / vessels dry docking, and for initiating corrective action for deficiencies and non conformance.
Arrange/ coordinate / and supervise technical services providers and suppliers on all technical services for the vessel.
Manage and supervise technical consumable and spare parts stock on board by implementing adequate stock reporting systems. Responsible for managing and expediting physical inventory audits of consumables and parts on-board on yearly basis.
Responsible for ensuring assigned vessels are adequately implementing PIMS (section 4) and adequately reporting to head office as per reporting scheme.
Responsible for the effective implementation and management of maintenance plan on board each vessel using BASSNET and technical database completeness (parts and Maintenance Plan).
Support on the definition of the Dry-dock scope of works, prepare tender specification and follow up overall budget.
Manage the dry-dock since the preparation, to the in-loco follow up of works in coordination with shipyard, contractors and service providers in agreement to the specification, and close-out the repair period with final dry-dock technical report and budget report.
Perfil idealDegree in Marine, Naval, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or STCW Reg. III/4 or III/5;
Knowledge of relevant classification and statutory rules and regulations related to the O&G or offshore shipping industry;
Having sailed to the rank of 2nd or Chief Engineer, or shore experience as Junior technical superintendent for +2 year;
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills;
Multitasking and time-management skills;
Good problem-solving abilities;
Fluent English.
