Technical Assistant to the Director of Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Cancer Centre We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Director of Translational Research Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Cancer Centre. This role will involve assisting with various administrative tasks, managing schedules, and providing specialized support for ethics/grant applications, and research-related activities.
The selected candidate will Manage calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings;Assist with travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation;Act as a liaison between the Director and internal/external stakeholders, including researchers, collaborators, and funding agencies;Provide administrative support for ethics and/or grant applications, including compiling necessary documentation, and ensuring timely submission;Conduct basic research and gather information to support ethics/grant proposals and research projects;Maintain organised records of research-related documents, including ethics/grant applications, progress reports, and budgets;Assist with the preparation and submission of research presentations, reports, and manuscripts;Coordinate logistics for research-related events, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops;Assist with budget management, including tracking expenses and processing reimbursements;Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive research data;Anticipate the needs of the Directors and proactively provide support as required;Collaborate with other administrative staff and research team members to ensure smooth operations and communication within the research department;Perform other duties as assigned to support the Director of Research and research team.Skills/Qualifications- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as science, research administration, or business administration.
