We are a Portuguese/German company with bases in Évora and Munich and have been in the game of Machine Learning driven solution and Software Development since 2016. We have been automating processes using Natural Language Processing, building Chat- and Voice Bots for Customer Service or, more generally, leverage Machine Learning to enable companies to make most of their data. Our customers cover a wide range of industries, ranging from insurance and legal over automotive to space engineering (and even the public sector).
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Tech Lead - Full Stack Java Developer to join our team. Two Impulse uses AI to help companies become more efficient and innovative.
We work with clients in Insurance, Telco, Healthcare, Data Centers and various other sectors mostly in Switzerland, Germany, US and Portugal. We automate processes using Natural Language Processing, build Chatbots and Voicebots for Customer Service, help companies with their data, build Machine Learning for forecasting, and develop software in the cloud around these topics.
As a Tech Lead, you will design and develop cutting-edge solutions, and lead a team of talented engineers, guiding the technical direction of projects. You'll work on innovative technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Chatbots, Voicebots, Machine Learning, and cloud-based applications. You'll help shape the future of AI-powered solutions and mentor others in a collaborative environment.
As a Tech Lead, your responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring a team of developers, providing technical guidance and fostering growth.Collaborating with development teams, data scientists, and product managers to define technical roadmaps and solutions.Architecting, designing, and developing full-stack applications.Leading code reviews, ensuring best practices, and promoting code quality.Developing and maintaining APIs and integrating them into scalable systems.Driving test automation and ensuring the reliability of the software.Working closely with the DevOps team to enhance CI/CD pipelines.Taking ownership of technical troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrades as part of 3rd-level support.Writing and maintaining technical documentation for team reference and project continuity.Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.Expertise in Java and Spring frameworks.Experience with single-page application frameworks such as Angular 2+ or React.Proficiency in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Knowledge of JUnit and test-driven development.Experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and Hibernate ORM.Proven track record in designing solutions on cloud platforms, preferably Azure, ensuring reliability and scalability.Experience with version control using Git.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation practices.Familiarity with Liquibase DB for database versioning.Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Experience working with web servers.What's in it for you?
