Job Description As an Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will help manage, support, and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable (AP) team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth and error-free processing of financial transactions related to vendor invoices, expense reports, and other payables. You will lead the team in following established procedures, maintaining audit compliance, and supporting process improvement activities.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously to maintain consistency and compliance.Document and update process guidelines to ensure clarity and transparency.Accomplish process deliverables within specified timelines, emphasizing accuracy and attention to detail.Evaluate changes to master data (such as vendor information) and assess their impact across multiple systems.Collaborate with relevant partners to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.Initiate and participate in process improvement plans.Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.Collaborate with the process improvement leader to implement changes.Monitor the AP process and identify any issues promptly.Escalate complex or important issues to the Special Matter Expert (SME) without delay.Propose action plans to resolve issues.Provide accurate information to all partners.Collaborate with vendors, internal departments, and remote teams.Communicate effectively to address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships.Produce regular reports on AP performance metrics (e.g., invoice processing time, error rates).Analyze trends and recommend adjustments to increase efficiency.You will be reporting to the Operational Finance Team Lead.
Qualifications To excel in this role, you have the following qualifications:
