They monitor and anticipate changes to VAT legislation and respond quickly with advice specific to their clients' particular compliance requirements.The Consultants are focused on the preparation and submission of VAT declarations in all countries where our clients develop strategic transactions. They are responsible for promoting relationship management and communicating with clients and tax authorities in several countries, as well as monitoring and following up the respective processes.The position includes the skills to deal with clients and tax authorities in several jurisdictions, as well as the technical VAT knowledge to provide VAT services to our clients in multiple countries. A career as a VAT Consultant will suit those who enjoy constantly researching and analyzing problems, being an 'expert' in their field, and having the ability to communicate complex information in a simple and easily understood manner.Duties And ResponsibilitiesIdentify and understand client's business and flows to ensure that VAT compliance is completed speedily and efficiently and submitting VAT declarations and associated documents by the appropriate deadlines.Analyze VAT data submitted by clients, prepare, and validate the VAT declarations to ensure that completed forms follow legislation and regulations in each country.Act as the point of contact with the client and prepare reports and advice emails.Serve as the point of contact with tax authorities in the countries where clients have strategic transactions.Handle information requests and audits performed by tax authorities on behalf of the clients.Assist Senior/Manager in addressing intricate business issues of clients.Follow up on VAT registration and deregistration processes to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations in different countries.Help businesses and individuals create strategies for dealing with VAT and prepare for their future in the financial market.Proactively research and update VAT knowledge database.Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree / Master's degree in Law, Management or Economics. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process.Professional experience of at least 2 years in a multinational company/environment.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation and research.Certificates And LicensesNo specific certificate or license required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
