Join us and make it happen!Do you enjoy solving problems? We're looking for an Agency Accounting Analyst to strengthen relationships with our partners by delivering consistent excellent service. This position is responsible for processing & analyzing expenses submitted by shipping agents that are part of Wallenius Wilhelmsen's port network.ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU'LL DOEnsure our agents submit correct invoices from operational suppliers for each vessel port call in a timely manner.Execution of payments of approved invoices to agents through the bank system.Prepare funding for Panama Canal transits for each vessel.Perform Commission control of our agents based on agreed rates in contracts.Ensure relevant and timely communication with overseas agents to follow up on timely submission of invoices.Keep constant communication with Operations and Commercial teams for invoice approval and queries.Verify currency exchange rates for Latin America agents shown on their invoices.Prepare monthly Owners Expenses invoicing for maritime crew expenses.Carry out cost account reclassifications when needed and in coordination with Cost Control area.Posting of payments for Panama Canal tolls and general journals in accounting system.Deliver statistics and volume reports of agents when needed.Adhere to quality standards and key performance measurements for the completion of key objectives.Live the values of the company and observe the code of conduct.QualificationsWHAT YOU'LL NEEDFully bilingual English/Spanish (100%).Minimum 1 year of previous experience working in Finance or Accounting area.University degree in General Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.Advanced knowledge and experience in general accounting and monthly reconciliations.Deep understanding of basic accounting principles.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines (due dates).Detail-oriented with a high level of concentration and attention to detail.Fast learner and self-motivated team player.Process and result-oriented, with highly analytical skills.Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Proactive with a sense of urgency and prioritization.Knowledge and experience in the Shipping and Maritime industry is a plus.Knowledge or experience in financial audit is a plus.ABOUT USWallenius Wilhelmsen is an iconic shipping and logistics company with premium end-to-end supply chain management.
