Allianz Group is taking urgent action to contribute to a more sustainable future, and has thus established a dedicated unit – Group Sustainable Operations - to align the strategic approach across all Allianz entities, with the aim to reduce their environmental footprint and accelerate a positive impact.
The Sustainability Manager will coordinate activities and partnerships at Group level that focus on protecting the environment, specifically marine environments, and monitoring their impact both on the communities outside Allianz and on the internal AZ employee engagement, as part of the Global Corporate Citizenship of Allianz Group.
What You Will Do Design and ensure execution of environmental initiatives, programs and related topics for Allianz Group Sustainable OperationsCoordinate Corporate Citizenship guidelines integration efforts for Ocean-related partnerships and activitiesOrganize global sustainability-related initiatives to increase employee engagement and oversee global partnerships focused on protection of marine environmentsManage and enhance the relationship with the partner organizations and internal stakeholdersFurther develop the Ocean Concept and interlink with the Allianz business areaAssessment of requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and alignment with internal sustainability/environmental reporting related to Corporate Citizenship requirementsPrepare documentation for charitable contributions, including contracts and impact reportsDrive and implement volunteering opportunities for Allianz SE and stakeholder OEsConduct research and benchmarking of key trends in the industry and translate best practices into key insights.Develop and implement employee awareness and engagement opportunities to embed sustainability internally and making it relevant to the entire employee base.Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for Allianz Group top managementSupport the Allianz SE Corporate Citizenship data collection and reporting processWhat You Bring Academic background in environmental sciences, environmental/ecological engineering, sustainability, social sciences, public relations, and/or any other related fieldDeep understanding of sustainability in the context of a complex international environment, ideally with specialist knowledge in environmental-related fieldsPrevious experience in collaborating with NGOs, including volunteering, corporate collaboration and events managementGood project management skills, with proven track record in managing global complex projects with senior stakeholders.Strong business case building experienceAgile Certification or experience with an Agile environment is a plusInsurance/investment related knowledge is a plusWhat we offer: We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).From career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered.Flexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
